Air Fryer Crab Rangoon Recipe
This lighter take on a restaurant favorite uses an air fryer for perfectly crisp wontons with a creamy crab filling no deep frying required.

Craving crispy, creamy Crab Rangoon without the extra oil or mess of deep frying? This air fryer version delivers everything you love about the classic appetizer rich crab and cream cheese filling wrapped in a golden, crunchy wonton using just a fraction of the fat.
It’s a perfect choice for entertaining or a weekend treat, and it comes together in under 30 minutes with just a few simple ingredients.
Air Fryer Crab Rangoon
Servings: About 28 pieces

Cook Time: 5 minutes per batch

Ingredients
4 ounces lump crabmeat (fresh or canned, drained)
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 scallions, white parts finely chopped, green parts sliced for garnish
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 large egg, beaten
28 square wonton wrappers
Nonstick cooking spray
Sweet chili sauce, for dipping
Equipment:
6-quart air fryer
Directions
Prepare the filling
In a medium bowl, mix together the crabmeat, cream cheese, scallion whites, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and well combined.Assemble the Rangoon
Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Keep remaining wrappers covered to prevent drying.
Spoon about 2 teaspoons of the filling into the center of the wrapper.
Dip your finger in the beaten egg and run it along the edges of the wrapper.
Pull two opposite corners together and pinch, then bring in the remaining two corners to form a pyramid shape. Seal tightly.
Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Prep for air frying
Lightly spray all sides of the assembled wontons with nonstick cooking spray.Air fry
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
Place the Crab Rangoon in a single layer in the basket make sure they aren’t touching.
Cook for about 5 minutes, or until golden, crispy, and bubbly. Work in batches as needed.
Serve
Garnish with the sliced green parts of the scallions and serve warm with sweet chili sauce on the side for dipping.
Tips for Success
Don’t overfill the wrappers or they may burst open during cooking.
Seal well: Press firmly to ensure no air is trapped inside. This prevents bursting and helps them crisp evenly.
Customize it: Add a touch of garlic, ginger, or a splash of sriracha to the filling for an extra kick.
