1 pound spaghetti

1/2 to 3/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano
Handful of flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
Directions
Cook the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, according to package instructions.Make the Base of the Sauce
In a large deep skillet, heat olive oil over low heat. Add the chopped garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking gently to infuse the oil without browning the garlic.Add Lemon and Cream
After the pasta has been boiling for about 5 minutes, add lemon juice, a ladleful of pasta water, and heavy cream to the skillet. Raise the heat to bring the sauce to a light simmer.Combine Pasta and Sauce
Drain the pasta while it still has a firm bite. Add lemon zest and half of the grated cheese to the simmering sauce. Season with salt to taste. Turn off the heat, add the pasta to the skillet, and toss for 1–2 minutes to allow it to absorb the sauce.Garnish and Serve
Plate the pasta and top with the remaining cheese, chopped parsley, and fresh basil. Serve immediately for the freshest flavor.
