Ingredients
1 pound linguini
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
2 shallots, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup dry white wine
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
Directions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add linguini and cook for 6-8 minutes until al dente.
Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Shrimp
Heat 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add shallots, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 3-4 minutes until shallots are translucent.
Season shrimp with salt and pepper and add them to the skillet.
Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until shrimp turn pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
Add white wine and lemon juice to the skillet and bring to a boil.
Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil.
Return the shrimp to the pan along with the parsley and cooked pasta. Toss well to coat.
Step 4: Serve
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Drizzle with extra olive oil and serve immediately.

Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor. If using frozen, thaw and pat dry before cooking.
Choose a dry white wine like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc.
