Skip the Raw-Chicken Rinse
The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service does not recommend washing raw chicken before cooking. Rinsing can spread bacteria from the poultry to other foods, utensils and kitchen surfaces, and it does not destroy the bacteria on the chicken. Keep raw poultry away from foods you will eat without cooking.
