Testing too early can lead to inaccurate results, like a false negative, because the hCG levels in your urine may not be high enough yet. Home pregnancy tests are designed to detect this hormone, which is typically at a detectable level by the time your period is due.

If you notice a significant change in your hunger levels and suspect pregnancy, it’s advisable to take a home pregnancy test for confirmation. Should the test turn out positive, inform your ob-gyn to start your prenatal care journey. On the other hand, if the test is negative but your hunger persists after your next period, consider consulting your primary care doctor. Persistent increased hunger can be a normal symptom of PMS, but if it continues beyond your period, it might indicate an underlying medical condition.

Remember, every woman’s experience with early pregnancy is unique. While an increased appetite can be a sign of pregnancy, it’s not a definitive indicator. Paying attention to your body’s signals and getting timely medical advice is key to navigating this beautiful journey.
